Cleaning and stuff

Ugh. One of those words. 

Jogged yesterday morning, then made eggs and home fries for breakfast, with T.'s help. Once again we ate while watching TV. This time it was finishing The Umbrella Academy. 

After breakfast we walked to the farmer's market. Then we spent most of the day doing the laundry (less than usual, because last week's was later than usual) and cleaning. We organized the kid's room. We threw away (recycled, etc.) a few things we're confident she doesn't need or want, and put together a much bigger bin of things we thought she could probably get rid of but wanted to give her a choice about.

Then T. moved on to organizing the spare bedroom/office, while I inflated a kiddie pool for our own use. It was a pain. Our mechanical pump's battery wasn't charged. Our bike pump doesn't have a nozzle that fits the pool neatly - it works, but I had to hold it on tightly manually. The whole effort took more than half an hour. But it was worth it. We relaxed decadently in the pool. With certain neighbors gone and the umbrella positioned carefully, we had basically complete privacy.

Dinner was pork chops and salad.
