Scouts and a sleepover

Ugh. Thus endeth a good streak. Tough word objectively...

Waffles and bacon for breakfast yesterday. In the morning we went to the farmer's market. We had the usual chores, and around noon, went to a Girl Scouts event at an art studio. While the kid and her troop mates worked on their projects, T. and I went to a used bookstore and had "snacks" at a brewery nearby. After that, lunch for the kid at another brewery. (Great parents, right? Although the book we bought at the bookstore was for her, so that helps.)

Shortly after we got home, we took the kid to a friend's birthday party. It was a sleepover party. We had thought about going out on a date while we had a child-free night, or at least making something fancy for dinner she wouldn't like, but after everything that went on earlier, we just had leftovers. We still had fun at home, though.
