The night before last, I used up some extra onions by carmelizing them. It took almost an hour to do properly. Yesterday morning we had omelets, with the carmelized onions, crumbled bacon, and manchego cheese for filling. The fanciest breakfast I've made in a long time. 

Around 11 we walked to a playground so the kid could play with two friends (siblings). It was cold (sunny, but in the 40s and windy) so we didn't think it would last long, but the kids kept playing nicely for more than an hour, and then someone suggested lunch together too, so we walked to Union Market. When the group broke up, T. went to Trader Joe's while I walked the kid home. 

After that the day was lazy other than doing the laundry. We tried to set up another play date for the kid but friends weren't available on short notice. Seared tuna steaks, a recipe I haven't made in a while, and roasted cauliflower for dinner. We did get out a card game we had bought her a few weeks ago, so that was sort of fun.
