Biked the kid to school yesterday. I found out later that she was considered late. Whoops. Have to get moving earlier.

Work was better than average for the day of that biweekly report. They were all in by 11. My teammate J. had a very bad day, though, both work and personally. After finishing the essentials I walked to the post office to mail those postcards and got milk on the way back. In the afternoon we did a little cleaning because we're expecting company.

We went to get the kid almost an hour earlier than usual. Shortly after we came home, my parents arrived. We had separate fun evenings planned. They would take the kid to gymnastics class and a Halloween event nearby (so, more fun for her, but they'd probably enjoy it somewhat), while we went to a concert. They had been going through a rough time but insisted they'd be up for it.

I wasn't.

We got to the concert early because it lined up well with the kid's and my parent's schedule, and we were hungry and would eat dinner near the concert. But it meant a lot of time standing around waiting. Especially since the band started an hour and a half late. We left a little early and T. resented missing some of the concert, but she suspected that I resented going at all. (Mmmmaybe.) But the kid and her grandparents had fun, so that's nice...
