Average Friday plus dinner out

Yesterday we experimented with T. biking the kid to school on her bike. It went well enough. She felt nauseous working out with coffee but no breakfast, and hasn't figured out how to engage the motor on her bike, but despite that, well enough, as in, we got there and back without any safety issues. The other stuff can be worked on. I enjoyed it, at least. It was sunny and in the high 40s, so we needed coats and didn't work up a sweat but weren't bundled up much. Exercise, particularly light exercise early in the day, feels good. Crazy, I know.

It was the biweekly report day at work, so that's never fun. It went OK. The only really late one was the result of miscommunication rather than them actually being late. Something to work on.

Exchanged emails with the architect and contractors. Incremental progress.

In the afternoon I went for a walk and happened by the grocery store on H St. and got a few things. We might be good for a week depending on how creative/organized I can be in the kitchen.

Then home for a little more work, at least on paper. Not too productive but at least I got things organized to hit the ground running next week. 

We left to get the kid at school around 5. We were on time for gymnastics class for once. During class I went to the ATM at the nearby 7/11 for cash but otherwise we just sat and read.

After class we met a friend at a nearby Italian restaurant for dinner. That was fun. The kid ate more of her dinner than I would have expected.

T. and I stayed up late watching Bullet Train. Good movie, but I'm feeling kind of stressed/grumpy now and being a bit short on sleep might be part of why. Not that there aren't other possibilities.
