Yesterday the kid came home from her sleepover around 8:30. She had fun and there were little or no problems. Around 9:30, our friend C. came over with donuts for breakfast for a semi-unplanned visit and breakfast. After that, she took the kid to church - she has been expressing interest in religion. Meanwhile I lay down again for a bit.
At 12:45 we met C. and the kid at a Belgian restaurant we like for brunch. I had a sort of mushroom eggs Benedict and a Blood Mary. (First alcoholic beverage in over a week. Good for me.) After that, the library, and a little Christmas shopping. (T. is crazy.)
Then home. We struggled through the kid's guitar practice and the last of the laundry. Dinner was pork chops, rice, and cauliflower. In hindsight we probably could have skipped the rice.
