Pancakes for breakfast yesterday, despite the fact that we had brunch plans. Later in the morning the kid asked me to take her to the park despite the drizzle, and I said yes. We played with some toys we found there. Funny how that can work...

Met T.'s cousin at Union Market for brunch. It was fun. It really poured right when we were leaving. When we did, we met a friend of the kid, who spent the day hanging out with us as we went to Snallygaster, a beer festival. (Is this bad parenting? On our part, or theirs?) The title is in reference to the rain but also the drinking. I didn't have any drinks for the previous three days, not planned but that's how it worked out, but I made up for it yesterday.

Snallygaster was fun but crowded. In addition to some friends we've seen every few months, or less, there was also L., who we haven't seen since covid. I'm sorry about that. It was good to reconnect with her. No definite plans for the next one. 

Dinner was pasta at home. We weren't starving after all the snacking, but didn't want to eat out yet again.
