Yesterday we had eggs and home fries for brunch. Shortly after that we went to an art-oriented party hosted by the kid's swim teacher. After that the kid wanted to play in a nearby park with a new friend she had made at the party, and we said, sure, why not.
In the afternoon, laundry and prepping for later activities. The kid spent the night at a friend's house while T. and I went to the fiesta, a parents-only school fundraiser. Not incredibly formal but closer to it than anything else. It was fun until around 11 PM or so but we didn't leave until 12:30 AM. Well, no one forced us to help out. Good for us, I guess.
